EUROPEAN LINE UP

LEBBONIDUS
The "Beast from the Middle East" who is our frontman and bass slap master. He is a psychologist by day and a sonic visionary by night.
MANDY JAMES
"Mandrax" on the axe is our beautiful rhythm guitarist and the reason for the angelic harmonies and badass female punk energy. She is a lover of all creatures except those who abuse animals.
JORDAN WATERS
The percussion king and master of the double bass, Jord is the beast driving the Sons of Shem energy from behind the kit. His style switches eloquently from dancy grooves to breakdowns that cause the mosh to erupt. He is our favourite hype man and even has been known to rap when the moon is full!
ANDRAS DROPPA
The shred king who will completely improvise a solo that makes your momma fall in love! He is a mentor to many future musicians by day and the rock king by night. His knowledge of music theory is the only thing that comes close to his talents on guitar. He is the brains behind his band ANDRAS DROPPA when he is not shredding for Shems.

SOUTH AFRICAN LINE UP (in addition to Mandy and Lebb)

SHANE KAYAT
Aka "Shanous the Heinous Anus"- the longest-standing member of the Sons sessionists. There is no instrument he cannot play (or convince others he can play it). Although he has been our drummer for years, he has been known to play lead guitar at times. Lebb and Shane are brothers (if you could not tell from the good arabic looks). He is the founder of his prog-rock band SKINWALKER.
RYNO THERON
The veteran of the South African metal scene is the demon of the shred in the Sons. He brings the intensity and energy to the stage in his electric performances. He is the band dad who always has a tool or spare part for any member facing misfortune. He is the visionary behind RYNO THERON MUSIC as well as a co-founder in the legendary TRUTH DECAYED.
DANIEL PHILOGENE
Our local guru for anything to do with the music scene. Whatever expertise you need linked to music, Dan is the go-to-bro. From videography to event management to composition to performance, Dan is a machine. He is the backup drummer for Shems. Although he has been involved in so many projects, he is best known currently as the co-founder of ALWAYS US and the drummer of TRUTH DECAYED.

RAIHAAN PETERS
The co-founder of Sons of Shem with Lebb. Without Ray, there would be no Shems. He was the original funk and blues element that you hear in our music. The man who would DIY a drum throne from garage and car parts. The man's riffs exude soul and groove. Sons of Shem practices were started in Ray's garage- much to his family and neighbour's annoyance.
CHAYCE TYNE
"Mr Rack-Tom" himself! The heart throb of many in the early 03 scene was also known as the Sons of Shem's Percussive Bandit: destroying all drumkits and sticks! He was responsible not only for judging everyone at practice, but also for intentionally increasing tempos to the song mid-performance to watch Lebb struggle with the rap sections! A brother on and off the stage.
BUDDY LUV
Buddy joined Sons of Shem following Chayce. He brought a tight funkiness to the band and would always find a good dad joke in the most serious of situations! Not only did he keep a nice, tight tempo, he also ensured that all band members were laughing or being laughed at at all times! Buddy brought an energy to the Sons of comraderie and joy.
